Fez and Meknes, two imperial cities, are reachable from Rabat by motorway. With a private driver you can do a day return or continue your tour.
Quick booking checklist
- Pickup point and exact drop-off address
- Date and local pickup time
- Flight number for airport routes
- Passenger count and luggage details
- Preferred contact channel (phone or WhatsApp)
Distances and travel times
Rabat – Meknes: about 140 km, or 1 h 45 to 2 h by road. Rabat – Fez: about 200 km, or 2 h 30 to 3 h.
The A2 motorway makes the drive smooth and comfortable; breaks are up to you.
A possible one-day itinerary
Leave Rabat early, stop in Meknes (El Hedim square, Bab Mansour), then visit the Roman site of Volubilis before returning in the evening.
For Fez, plan a full day or a night on site to enjoy the Fes el-Bali medina.
Why a driver rather than the train?
The train links city centres well, but not Volubilis or Moulay Idriss. The driver drops you as close as possible to the sites and waits for you.
The price is per vehicle: for a group or family, the cost per person becomes very competitive. Quote on request.
