Petit taxi: for rides within the city
Rabat's petits taxis are blue. They carry up to 3 passengers inside the city limits and run on the meter, but cannot leave the city.
They may pick up other passengers on the way and can be hard to find at rush hour or late at night.
Grand taxi: for intercity trips
Grands taxis link cities, often as shared seats from dedicated stations. Comfort and vehicle condition vary.
They can be hired privately, but the price is negotiated and the car is not always suited to bulky luggage.
Private taxi with driver: fixed price and comfort
A service like EM Taxi works by reservation: recent air-conditioned vehicle (Mercedes, Skoda, Volkswagen), dedicated driver, price given before departure.
It is the best option for the airport, families, business travel and long-distance trips.
